Terms of Service

Welcome to Pennsylvania State Roleplay (PARP) and its connected applications (PennCore, PennHQ, PennIA, PennSync, the Main Website, and WhitelistedBot).

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of all PARP systems, websites, and bots. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old and comply with Discord's and Roblox's Terms of Service.
  • You may only access our systems if you are a member of the PARP community or are authorized by staff.
  • Staff members must also comply with internal staff policies and guidelines.

2. Services Provided

PARP provides tools and platforms to support its roleplay server, including:

  • PennCore – Executive dashboard for server management, automation, and API key integration.
  • PennHQ – Discord bot for member utilities (session logging, invites, leaderboards).
  • PennIA – Internal Affairs system for investigations, staff management, and appeals.
  • PennSync – Ban synchronization across PARP Discord servers.
  • Main Website – Public site for appeals, status checks, and community information.
  • WhitelistedBot – Bot utilities for whitelisted ERLC servers.

These services are provided "as-is" and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. User Responsibilities

When using PARP services, you agree to:

  • Follow all Discord, Roblox, and PARP community rules.
  • Use the systems only for their intended purposes.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information when submitting appeals, cases, or reports.
  • Not exploit or attempt to bypass any system, bot, or security mechanism.
  • Not spam, abuse, or overload the bots, dashboards, or website.

4. Staff Responsibilities

Staff members with access to PennCore, PennIA, or other restricted systems must:

  • Only act within the scope of their assigned role (IA Member, Discord IA, HIA, Executive).
  • Not misuse or leak internal data.
  • Keep sensitive case information confidential.
  • Report bugs, vulnerabilities, or suspicious activity through proper channels.

Misuse of staff permissions may result in removal from staff and/or bans.

5. Appeals & Investigations

  • Appeals submitted on the Main Website flow directly to PennIA for review.
  • Investigations are conducted fairly, but final decisions rest with the designated staff role (e.g., IA, HIA, or Executive).
  • Submitting false information, multiple duplicate appeals, or harassing staff through the appeals process may result in denial and disciplinary action.

6. Data Collection & Privacy

  • We collect data such as Discord IDs, Roblox usernames, in-game logs, bot commands, case histories, and appeals information.
  • All use of data is governed by the Privacy Policy.
  • By using our services, you consent to the collection and storage of this data for moderation and community operations.

7. Enforcement & Bans

  • Use of PARP systems is a privilege, not a right.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or ban users from our bots, website, or Discord servers for violations of these Terms or community rules.
  • Bans may be local (one server) or global (all PARP servers via PennSync).
  • Ban decisions are logged and may be appealed where applicable.

8. Limitations of Liability

  • Our systems are provided as-is and without warranties.
  • PARP is not responsible for downtime, errors, or data loss.
  • We are not liable for actions taken by staff, members, or third-party integrations (such as Discord or Roblox).

9. Intellectual Property

  • All PARP branding, systems, and documentation are the property of Pennsylvania State Roleplay.
  • Users may not copy, redistribute, or resell any part of our systems without permission.

10. Modifications to the Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time.
  • Updated Terms will be posted on the Main Website and/or announced in the Discord server.
  • Continued use of our services after updates means you accept the new Terms.
